The primary device categories supported are:
- Windows: This includes various editions of Windows 11 and Windows 10, Windows 365 Cloud PCs, Windows Holographic for Business, and LTSC (Long-Term Servicing Channel) editions.
- macOS: Microsoft Intune supports different management methods for macOS devices.
- iOS/iPadOS: iPhones and iPads can be enrolled and managed, including corporate-owned and personally owned devices.
- Android: Intune supports a variety of Android management approaches, including Android Enterprise (personally owned with work profile, corporate-owned, fully managed, and dedicated devices), as well as Android Open-Source Project (AOSP) devices and Samsung Knox devices.
- Linux: Supported Linux distributions include specific versions of Ubuntu Desktop (20.04 LTS, 22.04 LTS, 24.04 LTS) and RedHat Enterprise Linux (8 and 9).
- Chrome OS: Intune supports managing Chrome OS devices through web app management.
