Dymo Label Printer

1st. To get a DYMO printer online, connect it via USB or network (LAN/Wi-Fi), install the DYMO Connect for Desktop software, and ensure it is powered on. For “offline” issues, check cable connections, restart the printer, or update drivers from the official DYMO support site.
Connecting a DYMO Printer
    • USB Connection (Wired):
      1. Download and install the latest Dymo Connect software.
      2. Plug the USB cable into the printer and computer.
      3. Power on the printer.
      4. Open the software and verify the printer appears, usually with a green icon.
  • LAN/Ethernet Connection (Network):
    1. Plug the LAN cable into the printer and your router.
    2. Install DYMO Connect on your computer.
    3. Select “Add network printer” in the software.
  • Wireless Setup (Wi-Fi):
    1. Turn on the wireless printer.
    2. On your computer, connect to the Wi-Fi network named DYMOLWWxxxxxx (found on the bottom of the printer).
    3. Open a browser and navigate to http:192.168.58.1 to configure your network settings.
Fixing “Offline” Issues
  • Restart and Reconnect: Turn the printer off, unplug it, wait 30 seconds, then plug it back in.
  • Check Drivers: Ensure drivers are not outdated or corrupted by downloading the latest version from the official site.
  • Windows Settings: Go to “Printers & Scanners,” select your DYMO printer, and ensure “Use Printer Offline” is unchecked.
  • Clear Print Queue: Delete any pending print jobs that may be stuck.
2nd. To get your printer back online, first power cycle the printer, computer, and router, and ensure all cables are secure. On Windows, go to Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners, select your printer, open the queue, and uncheck “Use Printer Offline” under the “Printer” menu.
Steps to Fix Offline Printer:
    • Check Physical Connections: Turn the printer off and on again. For USB, unplug and re-plug the cable. For wireless, verify it’s connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your computer.
    • Clear the Print Queue: In Windows, right-click your printer in the control panel, select “See what’s printing,” click the “Printer” menu, and uncheck “Use Printer Offline” and “Pause Printing”
  • Restart Print Spooler: Search for “Services” in Windows, find “Print Spooler,” right-click it, and select “Restart”.
  • Run Windows Troubleshooter: Go to Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters and run the Printer troubleshooter.
  • Reinstall Printer: Remove the printer in settings, restart your computer, and add the device again.
  • Check IP Address/Port: If the IP address of the printer changed, you may need to update the printer port in “Printer Properties”.
If the printer is still offline, consider restarting your router, as this can fix network connectivity issues.
3rd. To set up a DYMO LabelWriter Wireless, connect it to Wi-Fi by powering it on and using the WPS button on both the printer and your router. Key Tips
  • WPS Issues: If WPS does not work, use the Web Configuration utility method instead.
  • Lights: A solid light indicates a successful connection to the network.
  • Distance: Ensure the printer is within range of your router, especially during initial setup.
  • Alternative: For non-wireless models, plug the USB cable into a router with a USB port and enable printer server settings.
